We picked out our tree on Monday afternoon. Mind you, it was the stinking coldest day to go to Hunter's Farm and pick out a tree. Usually we go and cut our own, but it was too cold (for the babies..and for momma). It was an incredibly clear day and the view of Mt. Rainer on our way to the farm was unreal. It honestly looked like you could reach out and touch it.
Delaney wasn't sure about the trees at all. I'd been asking her "Do you want to put a tree in the house?" and she would say "esss" with a big smile. But once we got to the farm it was another story.
Dashy was pretty cold out at the farm as well.
We went with a Noble Fir this year and I think it is seven feet tall. It had to sit for a day outside of our house to get all the creepy crawlies out. Then we brought it into the house. Delaney still wasn't sure about it. But when it came to getting the ladder out, stringing the lights, and "decorating" it Delaney-style, she was all about it.
Delaney thought that her stuffed animals looked really good in the tree. I thought so too.
I was surprised by how willing Delaney was to climb the ladder. She had no fear. However, we only let her climb up the first step by herself.
Lastly, Delaney got to put the topper on the tree with Papa.
So much fun.. Next post preview: Christmas cookie parties with our friends Natalie and Emma.

so cute! I love seeing Delaney's little cheeks!
Sounds like a fun day! Murphy loved being way up on the ladder stringing lights with De. They are fearless, no?
