Well, at our four month doctor's appointment, Tammy (our nurse practitioner) said that teeth were not far off. I wasn't really sure about it, but my good friend Korie said that Delaney was really close to cutting her teeth.
Last night, we went to a fabulous dinner/baby play party at Brooke and Jason's house. We had a great time. It was three other couples and their little babies (all boys - Delaney was a little flirt for the few minutes she felt good). Around 6pm, Delaney started getting really fussy and by about 6:30, we decided to call it a night. Brooke helped swaddle Delaney, which helped her on the ride home. Zap and I stopped and got three teething remedies. We bought teething tablets, recommended by Jill. They helped calm Delaney down until we got home. We also bought the natural teething gel and some baby Tylenol. Delaney nursed when we got home and I called Korie to figure out the Tylenol dosing (.4 for those of you who may be curious). We got Delaney ready for bed and when she started getting fussy, we tried the gel and a few minutes later the Tylenol. For the first night in about three nights, Delaney slept really well.
What a relief. I feel so badly for her. It's hard to know that she's hurting.
This morning she woke up feeling good, but the minute she got tired, she got fussy and seemed to be acting the same as last night, so we did the gel and some Tylenol and got her down for a nap (which she's taking right now).
So now I'm curious how long this will go on...days or weeks??
And I have to admit that I'm anxious to see those little teeth poking through. Maybe they'll be here in time for her pictures on the 31st :)
